Youth and Young Adult Bible Study, Tuesdays at 6pm

In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus leaves His disciples with a specific directive:

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (NKJV).

However, He did not give them direction on how to carry out this directive, thus allowing each disciple to fulfill this Great Commission based on his own spiritual gifts.

Today, each church has an individual way of fulfilling the Great Commission based on its own strengths and the needs of the people it serves.  New Bethel’s mission is:

To glorify God through soul-winning and service to the community.

For us, this means that if NBMBC is to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14), all that we do must be grounded in bringing people into relationship with Christ and meeting the needs of the community.

We continually strive for excellence in service to the Lord and the building of His Kingdom. We strive to be a Five-Star church, giving the Lord our very best, as He is worthy of it.  Our core values include:

• Sound Biblical Doctrine – In teaching and preaching, we hold the Word of God as absolute truth and necessary for spiritual cleansing and in making disciples (Hebrews 4:12).

• Worship – We hold that worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth ushers us into His presence where the bonds of sin are broken and lives are transformed (John 4:24; 2 Corinthians 3:17).

• Vision – Having vision is about having goals that reach beyond limitations.  We serve a limitless God and hold that if we continually seek our vision and guidance from Him, He will steadily move our church higher – from level to level and height to height (Proverbs 29:18).

• Commitment – Christ gave His all to us when He died on the cross for our sakes; we hold that if we give our all to Him, He will strengthen us where we are weak and bless the fruit of our effort (Luke 9:62).

• Unity – The Lord is not the author of confusion or division.  We hold that only when we bind ourselves in love and harmony, on one accord, can the Spirit of the Lord release the fullness of His power to our church (Acts 2:46-47).

Proverbs 29:18a states: Where there is no vision, the people perish (KJV).  Just as laws are necessary for creating order in society, vision is necessary for creating order in the church.  Without that vision, confusion and division can easily arise in the church as everyone attempts to make their own way toward their own end goals.   The end result is ultimately the spiritual death of the church.

New Bethel’s vision is:

To build up and empower the total person through the study of God’s Word.

We strive to teach members how to internalize the Word, that it may be applied to improving every area of their lives.  The ultimate result is total life transformation as they move from ordinary members to powerful disciples of Christ.
