Youth and Young Adult Bible Study, Tuesdays at 6pm

Camp Hosanna

Children are the future, and here at New Bethel we believe that education is a major key to their development. Even though school dismisses for the summer, children should still be learning and improving their academic skills.

Theme and Purpose

Camp Hosanna is designed to equip our children for servant leadership. It is a three week, all-day summer program for Pontiac youth grades 1 – 6 that provides strong academic enrichment, cultivates Christian character, and exposes its students to a variety of enriching learning experiences outside of the classroom.

The mission of this program is to provide our children the necessary training to get an early start in closing the gap towards their academic success.

From its initial summer in 2008, Camp Hosanna has been the result of a successful collaboration between New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac, Michigan and Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

New Bethel and Kirk in the Hills have been working diligently to keep Camp Hosanna a success. This partnership continuously strives to accomplish each of the following goals:

*  Teach students skills and strategies to boost reading and writing levels

*  Learn about the love of God and his purpose for our lives through bible lessons and activities

*  Encourage peer social interactions inside and outside the classroom

*  Educate students outside the classroom through enriching field trips and engaging activities in sports, music, and dance

*  Provide camp alumni work opportunities on different levels as volunteers, afternoon interns, and the camp director

*  Provide daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks
